Built by Daniel and Jane Worrilow Hoopes circa 1723 for his family of 17 children. An addition was completed in 1740 by Daniel's son Joshua. Tradition has it that " Brooznoll", meaning Windy Knoll was named for Jane Worrilow's family home in England. It is constructed of local serpentine stone. Still standing in 2007, the house was occupied by Hoopes family descendents for nearly 200 years. http://brooznoll.com/Documents/Logo[1].pdf |
